Oh hallelujah we made it to the end of another school year! Jakob has successfully completed 4th grade and Nolan has completed 1st. Was it a good year? Yes. Was it a bad, hard, frustrating, pull your hair out, try to be mature when you really want to kick, and scream, and stomp your feet year? Yes. It was all of the above. Can I explain myself? Yes, I could, but I’m Substitute Teacher of the Year y’all and I don’t want that status taken away before they give me my cookies and punch and slap me on the back with a “good job” thrown in there. In other words, I’m censoring myself because I don’t want to lose my job. So yes, I am one of those bloggers who says everything but what the actual thing is. Sorry.
Anyways…it has become tradition in my home to buy the latest and greatest water guns to ring in the summer season. My boys get off the bus, throw their backpacks, and I douse them with the hose as I scream, “It’s summer!” and watch them scamper to get their guns out of the boxes so they can retaliate. Yes, I could take the guns out of the boxes and already have them filled with water but that would take all the fun out of it. *grin*
Of course my camera does not make an appearance until most of the carnage has taken place and I’m confident that it won’t be water-logged. I can’t say the same for the passing cars on the street.

Oh that is quite possibly the coolest end of school tradition I have ever seen. Might have to steal it I a few weeks when the girls and I are done.
You. are. awesome. HAHAHAHAHAHA! LOVE it! :) My parents bought those guns for my boys when they were down here two weeks ago and they love 'em. Great start to the summer!
Now that is freakin' awesome! I bet you get Mom of the year too huh?? If only I was so cool. I hate getting squirted with water guns cuz it gets on my glasses and I can't see haha. I am a fuddy duddy I guess. Chris loves it though so Blaze doesn't miss out.
