This week’s theme: The “Eyes” of March
I know many of you are wondering what has happened as a result of the evil umpire. I have my letter all written up to post, but I’m running way late on this project again and wanted to get it done. I don’t want to keep any of you wondering though, so I am happy to say that the ump was fired from working at our little league fields. Vindication is sweet.
Most of the entries for this week’s theme were eyes. I have such a hard time doing what is expected of me (Yes, I can be a very difficult person to deal with. Why do you ask?) and when I thought about this theme I thought about what I see through my eyes in the month of March. And in Texas, when we have had some rain, we have the most beautiful wildflower fields lining the roadways. You will see cars parked on shoulders of highways in front of Bluebonnet patches. (Bluebonnets are our state flower.) They only last for a few weeks so everyone gets their Bluebonnet shots while they can- which is all at the same time.
Wondering how they look close-up?
They’re really beautiful, I’m not sure if the pictures do them justice.
Both shots were taken in manual. I sharpened, removed noise, lowered luminosity, bumped up the blue just a tad, and bumped up the saturation overall. I cropped the second shot, but left the first one alone. I wish the sky showed more in the first shot, but it was very overcast and starting to rain and I didn’t want to take a lot of time trying to figure out how to fix that problem.
