Letters of Intent

Foursons

Has this week been a week from h-e-double hockey sticks?  Has the idea of losing weight and being on a restrictive diet lost its luster?  Have all the New Year's Resolution people taken your elliptical at the gym every day this week?  Did you gain two pounds the first week of January even though you wanted to start losing weight?  *cough cough choke cough*  Or maybe you lost weight this week and are more motivated than ever going into this weekend.  Well tell me about it…in letter form of course. Write the who, what, when, where, and why of it all. Grab the button from my sidebar, and link up at the bottom. I look forward to your Letters of Intent!

Dear Baseball Season,

That time of year is quickly approaching.  I will be filling up all the boxes on my calendar with practice and game days.  I will be washing uniforms that will forever be stained in orange dirt twice a week, I will buy Gatorade in bulk, and checking cleats to see that they still fit the feet of two growing boys.

In return I ask that you be kind.  Please end the weekday games at a reasonable hour so that my boys can get to bed on time.  Let all the high-strung, overly competitive parents belong to the kids on the other teams, and allow a fair ratio of wins and losses for both boys.

(Oh how I wish I could go back four years for just a short time.  They were just sooooo cute!)

Signed,
Please don't make me be Team Mom.

Oh, thank you - I now know why I shouldn't be sad that Boy 1 has been unwilling to play sports ever since we moved here. (He wants to start violin lessons, though, and Boy 2 wants to start soccer... so my happy, empty calendar probably won't be that way for long.) Best of luck this season! Just say "NO" to being a team mom!

Love that picture! They were soooooooo cute (especially love Jakob's "smile").

Here's to a great season - and yeah, just say NO to the team mom thing. Who needs that kind of stress?

My daughter just auditioned for a ballet last weekend. The cast list just came out and she got the part. Yay, right? Except...I admit to being a bit bummed. Now I have to add more rehearsals into an already overpacked schedule.

Does it make me a bad mom that I almost wish she HADN'T gotten a part?

I feel your pain!!

Awww, LOVE the pic! And Nolan's hair!!!! So cute! I am kinda glad my boys aren't into sports. We did the soccer thing for a couple years and it was a lot of work (for me). LOL.

We are about to start soccer. The league we are in has some pretty strict rules about crazy parents so here's hoping they are enforced.

I am getting kind of excited that Blaze will be getting to do this stuff now. Although I still don't know squat about the sports. I love the photo so much.
